Invitation to the NES General Assembly

I would like to inform you of important matters regarding the closure of the Hungarian NES headquarters and the establishment of the new NES Society in Japan.

Until now, the NES has operated with its headquarters in Hungary under the leadership of Professor Ágnes Szirmai.

However, with Professor Szirmai’s retirement, the Hungarian NES headquarters will be formally closed in accordance with Hungarian law.

At the same time, while inheriting the vision and traditions of our founder, Professor Claussen, and the second president, Professor Szirmai, we plan to establish a new organizational structure of the NES in Japan under the leadership of myself, the third president, Professor Sakata.

These matters will be officially discussed and decided at the NES General Assembly to be held in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture, Japan, on August 27, 2025.

Please note that the Hungarian NES and the new NES to be established in Japan are legally independent organizations, but share the same spirit and objectives.

The closure of the Hungarian headquarters will proceed in accordance with Hungarian laws, while the establishment of the new NES in Japan will follow Japanese legal procedures.

The decisions made at the General Assembly, along with the list of attendees, will be submitted to the Hungarian court and will also likely be required for future procedures in Japan.
